Meet our Coaches
Ashton Clark
Ashton began rowing at Florida Tech with no prior experience and quickly became both a team captain and a key part of rebuilding the program after it transitioned from varsity to club. Just three weeks after getting on the water, she raced at the 2022 Head of the Charles and helped her 4+ earn a third-place finish.
From there, Ashton’s crew went on an undefeated run in the varsity 4+ category, earning wins at FIRA, SIRA, Dad Vail, and ACRA. Over her collegiate career, she earned 12 gold medals and helped build a team culture centered around training and competing at a varsity level regardless of the program’s club status.
By her senior year, the team had grown enough to field an eight. Rather than continue racing the smaller boat that had consistently won, Ashton and her teammates chose to move into the 8+ so more athletes could compete. The crew went on to place second in Florida while racing against larger and more established programs.
Throughout all four years, Ashton balanced the demands of competitive rowing, team leadership, and earning her degree in Aerospace Engineering. That experience taught her discipline, time management, resilience, and how important it is to consistently show up for the people around her.
Rowing became one of the most influential parts of Ashton’s college experience, and she hopes to bring the same competitive mindset, team-first mentality, and love for the sport to Colorado Junior Crew.
Noah Cadwell
Noah began his rowing career at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, where he served as team captain for all four years and became one of the top-ranked rowers in New York State. His high school career was characterized by multiple state championships and national placement recognition. Noah continued his rowing career after high school and replicated this success in collegiate rowing.
Noah has coached a wide range of athletes and programs, including learn-to-row, beginner sculling, novice and varsity development, and competitive rowing teams. His coaching experience spans multiple levels and age groups.
In 2024, he became an assistant coach for the Masters team at the Syracuse Chargers Boathouse. In 2025 and 2026, he served as head coach of the Syracuse Chargers Junior Competitive Team, coaching both the boys’ and girls’ teams to medals at multiple regattas. In 2026, he became head coach of the Masters team, leading the program through a successful summer racing season marked by several strong performances.
Noah is currently a senior at the University of Colorado Boulder. Outside of coaching and rowing, he enjoys working on cars, powerlifting, and playing guitar.
